Do & Create!
“Do not do what someone else could do as well as you. Do not say, do not write what someone else could say, could write, as you. Care for nothing in yourself but what you feel exists nowhere else. And, out of yourself create, impatiently or patiently, the most irreplaceable of beings.”
If it takes a few years (or a few decades like it took me) don’t ever stop writing and creating to find your voice. And you will know that it is your true voice as soon as you write something that comes from within you and you exclaim, ‘Oh there you are!’.
I love this quote because it so succinctly commands us what we should be doing–create your self and your style and your art as no one else can do.
And we ALL have that ability. Every single one of us.
In other words, do YOU.
Create and Complete.
